Japan’s capital spending of businesses rose in the first quarter: the Ministry of Finance reported Capital Spending rose 6.8% in Q1 from a year earlier after 16.4% growth in Q4 when a 12.2% growth was forecast. Data also showed corporate sales rose 2.3 per cent in the first quarter from a year earlier, and recurring profits increased 15.1 per cent. This is bullish for yen and bearish for USDJPY pair. However the current setup is bullish for USDJPY.
