China has introduced guidelines to phase out US microprocessors from Intel and AMD from government personal computers and servers. The procurement guidance also aims to replace Microsoft's Windows operating system and foreign-made database software by domestic products, according the reports. Earlier in late December China's industry ministry issued a statement with three separate lists of CPUs, operating systems and centralized database deemed "safe and reliable" for three years after the publication date, all from Chinese companies. Expected decline of Intel’s revenue from processor sales due to Chinese restrictions on use of Intel processors in government personal computers and servers is bearish for Intel stock price. However, the current setup is bullish for the stock price.
