The number of people claiming unemployment related benefits in UK rose less than expected in August: the UK Office for National Statistics reported the claimant count - number of people claiming unemployment related benefits during the previous month, rose by 0.9 thousand in August after 7.3 thousand increase in previous month, when a rise of 17.1 thousand was forecast. However private sector regular pay growth over month slowed further. Slower rise in the number of unemployed UK people is bullish for GBPUSD. Nevertheless the current setup is bearish for the currency pair.
