UK’s British Retail Consortium (BRC) reported retail sales volume at same stores grew faster than expected in August: the BRC Retail Sales Monitor index rose 4.3% over year after 1.8% growth in July, when a 2.2% increase was forecast. This is bullish for GBPUSD. However the current setup is bearish for the pair.
