Australia’s retail sales resumed growing in April: the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported Australia’s retail sales gained 0.1% over month in April after 0.4% decline in previous month, when an 0.3% growth was forecast. At the same time retail trade rose 1.3% compared with April 2023. Recovering retail sales is bullish for Australian dollar and hence AUDUSD.
