Australia’s trade surplus decreased more than expected in July: the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported the trade surplus fell to A$8.73 billion in July after $17.13 billion surplus in June, when a decline to $14.55 billion was forecast. The drop was driven by decline in exports and increase in imports: goods and services exports fell 2.0% while their imports rose 2.5%. Falling Australian trade surplus is bearish for Australian dollar and AUDUSD currency pair.
